Camellia Sinensis is a widely cultivated evergreen plant of the family Theacaea. It is native to China, Northern India and South Eastern Asia. Camellia Sinensis has glossy green leaves and fragrant white flowers. The leaves, leaf buds and inter-nodes of the tea plant are prepared for use in beverages usually by immediate curing of heat or by such curing following a period of fermentation.
